Welcome to Taipei Taiwan holds a crucial financial and economic position in Asia, with Taipei City serving as its capital. Industrial progress drives societal advancement; thus, vocational education plays a pivotal role in taking Taiwan’s industry to new heights. Taipei City has been proactively promoting the development of vocational education. Apart from establishing a dedicated unit, we have invested substantial resources in assisting schools with building practice areas, optimizing educational equipment, and setting up 11vocational training centers so as to close the gap between academic theory and industrial practices. In pursuit of fostering exchange between our local students and international young talents, the Taipei City government will host the inaugural Capital Cup WorldSkills Competition in 2024. The competition includes seven skills: Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Construction Metal Work, Landscape Gardening, Electronics, IT Software Solutions for Business, Industrial Mechanics, and Autobody Repair, inviting international young talents from all over the world to compete. Through this event, we aim to enhance the professional expertise and elevating the capacity of vocational education in Taipei City by facilitating skill exchanges and connecting with global expertise. The 2024 Taipei Capital Cup WorldSkills Competition will be held in Taipei City from May 21 to 24, 2024, at Taipei Municipal Nangang Vocational High School.
